Tempest

For a limited theatrical run, join Tempest, a one-of-a-kind immersive theatre experience! Travel through time and space to enact an exciting story of love and revenge - with a little magic, of course! Inspired by Shakespeare’s famed tale, join your intrepid guide Prospero in this intimate, interactive performance. In order to bring Prospero to life, the actor must enlist the help of the audience. The line between real and virtual, and truth and fiction, blur as audience members are "cast" as Prospero's spirits to realize an interactive, virtual version of the story.

HOW TO BOOK

Tempest is a live, interactive, and intimate VR show with a special run for Raindance between 5th - 15th November. The show times are at 7PM, 8PM, 9PM GMT or 11AM, 12PM, 1PM PST. Each performance lasts about 45 minutes. With personal variations among each actor, and new groups of participants at each showtime, no two performances are the same. Tickets for Tempest can be purchased for $14.99 as an in-app purchase within The Under Presents game available through the Oculus Quest Store and Oculus Rift Store. Please download the game to purchase your ticket.

Upon initially arriving in the game, you will start in a dark area called the Mud Desert. There’s a pedestal at the center of the desert, on which a golden mask will appear. Approach the pedestal and grab the mask. You’ll then be transported to a desert with two large buildings, approach the Decameron Theatre on the left. Once in front of the box office, pull the trigger button on your controller to bring up the ticket menu. Select any available showtime by using your controller. Check the “Acknowledge the Ticket Policy” button and select “Buy.” Take note of your showtime, which will now be visible on the inside of your mask when you take it off.

As your showtime approaches, be sure to be in-game ten minutes before your show starts. When your showtime starts, you will be automatically taken to the show lobby. While waiting for your actor to arrive, feel free to explore the lobby or interact with other audience members.
